I’m happy to announce that I’ve been appointed as a member of the KPFK Pacifica Radio listener advisory board with Alan Minsky, interim Director of Programming, at the helm.
I love the station and really look forward to working with the 11 other advisory board members to make the “fiercely independent” KPFK the best it can be.
Ever date a guy that didn’t like lipstick? He probably liked the way it looked on you but not the way it rubbed off on him, especially if you use lip liner, lipstick and gloss like I do!
As much as I like to kiss I was not about to give up on beautifully colored lips for anyone and now I’ve learned that I don’t have to.
Last year my friend and colleague,, sent out an email to all of us girls announcing a new, naturally derived, lip dye called that she was selling on her site . I was intrigued and knew that I wanted to try it out especially since I trust Carine’s aesthetic sensibilities.
Kissable lips
It took me a while to get over to her studio to select some samples but now that I have I’m a convert. I chose four colors: Pome Granate, Angel, Melt Down and my favorite – Chic!
After a bit of experimenting with how to apply the lip dye (they come with sponge Q-tip-like applicators) I came up with my own system: lip liner, lip stain (painted on with my trusty lip brush that I can wash and re-use) and a dab of gloss for sheen.
The herbal lip dyes seriously lasts – through kisses and munching – they look amazing and are made of all natural ingredients!
I recently checked the Earth Henna website and noticed that Carine is carrying more colors so whether you’re dark brown, olive, or fair complexioned there’s a color that’s going to work for you.

Jennifer Harvey is helping me get back into shape – again. She’s located at the Factory Lofts in downtown Los Angeles operating out of the Body by Nii-Sign Personal Training and Fitness studio.

Our first new client of 2010 comes to us as a direct result of working on the Lovey Fundraising Event.

We exceeded our financial goal and want to thank each and every one of you that contributed silent auction items, made donations, bid on silent auction items and bought raffle tickets.
Once again, thank you Bella Lantsman for letting us use the Private Dining Room at Chinois on Main to host the event. Jay Calhoun, I know you don’t want me to mention you but the décor was perfection! The Chinois on Main team is AMAZING - professional and warm in character – a perfect combination!
Greg Huebner chaired the Lovey Fundraising Event and poured his heart into it, nothing was out of our reach! Laurie Pesce rocked the silent auction - meticulously executed. The Plymouth Agency was happy to be partnered with these wonderful people and especially grateful to experience Lovey’s friendship and the opportunity to bask in the collective love and support she at exudes and attracts.
Today Lovey has several Dr.’s appointments including one with Dr. Khalsa who will assist with providing holistic healing to go along with Lovey’s treatment. She is able to see Dr. Khalsa because of you and your gifts!
Lovey will undergo two surgeries this month so let’s remember her in our thoughts and make our presence felt.
